Frequently Asked Questions

Choosing a home care provider for the care of your loved ones is a very big decision and you will naturally have many questions. I have tried to answer a lot of these below but please do contact me with any questions you may have. I am always happy to help where I can and delighted to also provide advice wherever possible.

I really encourage my clients to stay in the familiar surroundings & remain as independent as possible, in their own home wherever possible, and provide care at their home.

Yes I supply care for many ailments & illnesses.

This is something I am very passionate about. I like to make the patients feel as pampered, loved, comfortable and safe as possible.

I can do this where possible and if I can’t get them there myself, I will find a safe and reliable alternative.

I am able to order medication, collect from the pharmacy, store in a safe place & provide medication prompting.

I am more than happy to shop and prepare meals.

Of course, I have many clients who require companionship, a friend to have a coffee with or a visit to the shops.

I work Monday to Fri 6:45am until 6:30pm, my 25 year old daughter has also been a carer for 8 years and provides elderly care. I have an agency I can also recommend if needed at weekends.

Generally a 10 mile radius but possibly further if it is for a longer period of time.

Of course, all sorts of activities at home can really help the morale of my clients.

Personal care at home is something i do every day for many people.

When looking after somebody’s loved ones I work as a team with the whole family. My clients and  families can call me any time they need to.

I have many clients with pets that I also make sure are looked after.

Yes I can help recommend places and also suggest some live in carers I know.

I can provide as much care as physically possible. I realise end of life care cannot be at certain times so I will be as flexible as possible and stay over with patients if needed. I liaise with the doctors and district nurses, the hospice, collect meds needed, talk with the funeral home.

I have been with many patients at end of life and help to provide a calm atmosphere and also help the families during what can be a very difficult and worrying time.
